Come Early and Come Alone

"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”

Proverbs 8:17

Once while at a church service, with thoughts of needing answers for the many things that were going on in my life, the Pastor prophesied that God would come and wake us up early in the morning to tell us some things we needed to know. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3

It was a timely Word for I was in a desperate place and needed to hear from the All Knowing God. Isaiah 40:28 That morning around 3:00 am I felt a shake on my shoulder. I sat up and there was no one there. The prophecy had come to pass and I responded like Samuel, “And the Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.” 1 Samuel 3:10.

Have you ever experienced God waking you up? I have even heard a bell ring. What about you? Is there something that you truly need to know? Maybe you have been asking your friends, your mother, even your Pastor. Maybe God has allowed this situation so that you can come to Him, (no one else but Him) for He alone has the answer and He wants to share it with you. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

God says, "Come Early and Come Alone". “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” Proverbs 8:17

  • Man says, “The early bird gets the worm”.

  • The Lord says, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26 (NIV)

  • Ben Franklin said, “Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

  • The Lord says, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep”. Psalm 127:2

God came to Elijah in a still, small voice. 1 Kings 19:1-3, 1 Kings 19:11-13. “And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” In verse 13 He even called him by name, “ What doest thou here, Elijah?”

God says, “What doest thou here __________? (insert your name) like Elijah, have you been trying to hear from Me while on the run or hiding in your own cave of doubt, fear or even sin? Seeking advice from this one and that one? Stop running and tomorrow, Come Early and Come Alone. Let's talk. Jeremiah 33:3

Set the atmosphere when you wake up with the Lord by singing the hymn “In the Garden” or whatever your song of praise is to our Lord God Elohim. Psalm 100:4 He loves music.

Today's Prayer

I pray in the name of Jesus, that you continually grow in the likeness of His Son, our Lord and Savior that you would heed the voice of God today by following His example of seeking our Father early in the morning.

I pray that He meets you right where you are in your faith. I pray that He reveals his glory and power and tell you marvelous things that you do not know.

I pray for an experience with God for you that you have never experienced before. I pray his answer is clear and your path to take is made plain.

It's in Jesus name I pray. Amen!

{Now make it personal and talk to the Lord and He will reveal more of Himself to you.}

Just knowing that God is always here is so comforting. He has all of the answers. I love visiting the Garden. It's truly an added jewel in my time with the father.
