Empowerment Quote for Today

"Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me,

I shall come forth as gold."

Job 23:8-10

• Job's inability to perceive God did not mean God had abandoned him. His circumstances and emotions were simply unable to show him everything God was doing.

Job was saying:

• I don't know where God is right now, but God knows exactly where I am. I don't understand what He's doing, but I know He knows the road I'm traveling. And when this season is finished, I will come out of it refined like gold.”
