"Your Gift will Make Room for You!" Oops, for Him!

“A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

Proverbs 18:16

As we set our goals and make our plans, we must keep in mind that as citizens of the Kingdom of God, our gifts were given by God to build His Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is God's way of doing things. When we operate according to the Word of God our gifts will be used to make room for Him to do extraordinary things through us that will cause men to be at awe and glorify Him. Matthew 5:16

For instance, my daughter has a gift of organization. She was once promoted to a position where there were much disorder and a lack of structure. She called me and complained how she couldn't believe how much disorder was in that place. I shared with her that as a disciple of God, when He wants to bring order and structure her gift will be called on. I reminded her that when she's called it won't simply be to set a place in order but that someone will see Him operating through her, glorify Him and realize He is the Only True and Living God.

She would call me daily amazed how God was instructing her. Proverbs 3:5-6 She said God was telling her how to operate in a position she was not trained in and telling her things she did not know Jeremiah 33:3. I shared with her that when you submit to operating in the kingdom according to His will, you are simply an instrument and God is actually getting it done. Psalms 107:8 The very first week people came into the department amazed by the change.

I shared with her that as she continues to grow in the Kingdom of God, seeking to please Him, she will be assigned to even GREATER DISORDER in order that her gift is used in such a way that even she has to say it was, “Nobody but God!” When the order and structure is complete people will stand in awe and sing praises of how she brought such order to a place of such disorder.

This is the time when she must point people to God and not herself. This is the place the room must be given to Him that He may be glorified and people are drawn to Him not her. But always remember that in setting things in order, God's way, many will dislike you, some may hate you and speak against you, but when the assignment is met the order will be seen and God will get His glory.

1 Peter 2:12 says,

“Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.”

My gift is in encouragement. As you read this story about my daughter, did you notice God's gift of encouragement operating through me for her? As you continue to become a yielded vessel unto Him you will find your gift being used more and more so that the building of His Kingdom is perpetual. My gift was used to keep her from giving into her flesh and helped her to maintain her citizenship in the Kingdom of God so that His will could be done. Matthew 5:16

Look over your plans and ask yourself, “Have I given the room, assigned to me, to God so that His Kingdom is built not mine?”

Our Savior did not seek His own glory, "And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth." John 8:50 Nor His own will, "... I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." John 5:30 He said we too should do the same because we are in the family of God's Kingdom, "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matthew 12:50

The more we yield ourselves and allow Him to use our gifts the more we will be used. The more we walk according to His will, the higher we will rise in the Kingdom. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 But have you ever found yourself asking why are the people, who are always working, the ones who are always called on when there are others who should be working and are not doing their jobs? Well Kingdom citizens, Jesus says, “…For unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required …” But this is the part that answered this question for me, JESUS said, “…and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48 Be careful what you ask for. (Smile)

But remember Kingdom citizens, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Do everything without complaining and arguing,...” Philippians 2:13-14 NLT

The more Jesus did the more He was used, "And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them." Matthew 4:24 And because of it, God was glorified and the world was saved! John 3:16-17 We all can now know the True and Living God as our Heavenly Father! If you do not know Him yet click here and be introduced Salvation.

God says, "___________, (insert your name) don't fear the more. I have equipped you for what I have called you to do Ephesians 2:10. I have given you great power and authority over all the power of the Enemy and nothing will harm you by any means. Luke 10:19 And when you come up against the attacks in fulfilling my purpose, take comfort in these words 'There is a great reward in store for you!!!' Matthew 16:27 For your eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into your heart, the things which I hath prepared for you because of your love for Me. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Today, place your gift in the story about my daughter. You will find that the same is true for all Kingdom citizens.

Today's Prayer

Our Father,

Giving you all the honor and glory is what our hearts desire, For you are truly worthy of all praise. Please look into our hearts and reveal unto us anything that will hinder your work in our lives. Remove those things that will hinder the salvation of those placed in our midst and lead us unto all righteousness.

Not our wills Father but, as our Lord and Savior did who left us an example to follow, let your will be done today and always until His return so that your kingdom is perpetually built.

It's in Jesus' name we all pray, Amen, Amen, and Amen!!!

(Now make it personal)
